Chez nous, princesses find their heaven on Earth !
Anne with three names :
- Anne de France,
- Anne de Beaujeu,
- Anne de Bourbon,
was propelled regent of the Kindom of France by her father Louis XI in 1483.
Wife of Pierre de Bourbon since the age of 13, she had to face the Kingdom’s government. An unprecedented situation for an exceptional woman who demostrated a singular political intelligence.
She injected into the Bourbonnais a new state of min serving culture through her patronage, by welcoming the world of arts and letters.
She is also the authors of the “Enseignements” (Teachings), a sum of precepts she gave to a young princess going into her adult life: her daughter, Suzannne.
She particularly enjoyed the Chantelle Castle, her safe haven, where she drew her last breath during the Autumn 1522.
