Road of the peinted churches of Bourbonnais. Free visit on an appointment. The chapel has a clear view with an display board
Inside the chapel, wall paintings: in the nave ornamental decorations dating back to the twelfth century; in the heart the paintings are organized in two registers; there remains evidence of the presence of a Marian cycle including a virgin to the child, Three wise men, a night’s sleep. The vault is decorated with 34 medallions painted with figures and scenes with a moral and religious sense. Sirens, centaurs, knights, penitent, wild man, lynx meet and respond under the representation of the hand of gods. A 17th-century liter line remains in part of the nave. This set painted of a very great pictorial and iconographic richness is today cleared, stabilized and waiting for the continuation of the restoration
